Mozilla has pushed out the third beta candidate of its Firefox 4 web browser, with the biggest addition being support for multi-touch in Windows 7.
This means that you’ll be able to take images on a web page, pull them around the screen with your fingers, zoom in at a touch, and even crop a picture by slashing it with your fingertip.
Check out Mozilla tech guy Paul Roget demonstrating this on YouTube here. Well worth a watch.
Of course, that’s an HTML5 site, so when you fire up the Firefox 4 beta your surfing experience isn’t going to be revolutionised like so, as web developers will need to support the new browsing technology.
Also wrapped up in Beta 3 are new JavaScript values, which enable the browser to execute heavy numeric code more efficiently. In other words, graphics heavy sites will run in a more streamlined manner.
