LG to demo Smart TV at IFA

Janet Harris

LG Electronics isn’t expected to launch its Smart TV technology in the UK until early next year, but the company will be offering a taste of things to come at IFA 2010, the trade show for consumer electronics and home appliances in Berlin, from 3 – 8 September.

Smart TV brings web content to TVs via a Home Dashboard which allows users to view content and access all apps from one screen.

It promises to make watching TV via the internet “Easy, Fun, More and Better”.

The interface will be controlled by the company’s Magic Motion Remote Control, which allows the user to point and click on what they want.

A ‘Media Link’ promises wireless connection to devices such as PCs, personal media players and iPads, offering access to online videos and images.
