Nokia gets the X-Factor app

Yes, it’s that time of the year again, when some quite good singers, and a load of very bad ones (who could forget chicken factory bloke), turn up at the X-Factor auditions across the country to grab their fifteen seconds of fame.

And if you like to keep up to speed with all things Simon Cowell related on the move, there’s now an app for Nokia phones which allows you to do just that.

You should be able to grab the X-Factor app, which offers a range of exclusive content, from the Ovi store at some stage today.

It follows the format of the show, offering different insights through the four different stages – auditions, boot camp, judges’ houses and the live show itself. Content will include exclusive videos, photos, behind-the-scenes gossip, along with the promise of social network integration.

The app will be free, and although exactly which Nokia phones it will work with hasn’t yet been specified, it should function on most of the company’s handsets.
