Mafia II remains at top of UK video game chart

For the second week running, 2K Games has kept hold of the UK number one spot in the all-format video game chart (provided by Chart Track) with its mobster action title Mafia II.

That’s despite a drop of almost a quarter in sales. It managed to cling on to the top because there were no other big name releases out this week – the highest new entry came in at number ten in the form of Tom Clancy’s HAWX 2.

The number two position was held by Kane & Lynch 2, with Wii Sports Resort surging further up the chart to bag number three. The athletic game is followed by Toy Story 3, and then Red Dead Redemption at number five.

Just Dance holds its position at number six, as does Super Mario Galaxy 2 at number seven. Nintendo also managed a new entry at number twelve with Metroid: Other M.
