A leaked screenshot has turned up on the net which shows the subscription costs for Microsoft’s Zune Pass service over this side of the pond.
Zune Pass is expected to be unleashed at some point next month, probably at the same time as Windows Phone 7, the site that published the screen grab, WMPoweruser.com, reports.
The screenshot shows that a one month Zune Pass will cost £8.99 for unlimited access to Microsoft’s music library. In typical MS style, a three month pass won’t offer any discount on that, weighing in at £26.97. The grab also shows that a free two week trial will be available as an option.
The price includes ten free tracks per month which are yours to keep regardless of whether you stay subscribed to Zune or not.
Compared to Spotify, Microsoft is under-cutting the cost of the premium version of the Swedish music streaming service by a pound. But then again, unlike Spotify, there’s no free ad-supported version.
