Nokia N8 gets official release date and price

Nokia has finally come forward and made a statement regarding when its high-end N8 handset will be released, and what it will cost.

The Nokia N8 will be on sale at the Nokia online shop in the last week of September, where it will set you back £429 sim-free.

Alternatively, you can order it on a contract from £35 per month with the smartphone free. Nokia’s recommended plan for this route is a T-Mobile two year tariff, which includes 900 minutes, unlimited texts and Internet.

Pre-ordering is now live, and as predicted, Nokia has a week’s worth of exclusivity on the N8 itself, with other retailers getting it in the first week of October.

The Nokia N8 boasts a 3.5 inch AMOLED touchscreen, 16GB of memory, Symbian^3 and a much admired 12 megapixel camera.
