The Optimus One is described as an ideal entry level handset, with a 3.2 inch HGVA capacitive touchscreen, a 3 megapixel camera, an FM radio, bluetooth, and a proximity sensor. It will be powered by Android 2.2.
The Optimus Chic boasts a minimalist design, and what LG describes as a unique on-screen phone feature which lets owners control the device from their PC. LG Air Sync will wirelessly synchronise contact info, photos and other important data with your computer.
Spec-wise, the Chic will follow much the same template as the Optimus One, except with a chunkier 5 megapixel camera.
The Optimus One is expected to arrive next month, although LG says there are “no current plans” to also bring the Chic over to the UK. That situation may change, of course, and we’ll be sure to let you know if it does.
Expect to see an Android powered tablet becoming a member of the Optimus family at some stage in the future, too, which should definitely be available in this country.
