Amid rumours that the Android 2.2 or Froyo update for the Samsung Galaxy S has been delayed until October, T-Mobile has come forward to assure its customers that they’ll have the upgrade soon.
T-Mobile posted on its official discussion forum that 2.2 will arrive at the end of the month, in other words, next week.
It will come in the form of a software update which you can access via the Kies software on your PC.
The speculation that the Android 2.2 Galaxy S update has been pushed back to October stems from a post on the company’s Facebook page in Spain, but that could just be relevant to Spanish owners of the smartphone.
Let’s hope so, and fingers crossed that the roll out of Froyo on the Galaxy S isn’t as problematic as it’s been on other smartphones such as the HTC Desire
