HTC Legend and Desire turn black and white

HTC has unveiled a new colour for two of its smartphones, the Desire and Legend.

The HTC Legend is now available in a darkly mysterious shade of “phantom black”, a phrase guaranteed to bring back memories of flan flingers for those old enough to have watched a certain seventies and eighties weekend kids’ TV show.

The HTC Desire, on the other hand, will be the polar opposite, clad in a new shade of “brilliant white” (complete with fluffy sheepdog, possibly).

Florian Seiche, President of HTC EMEA, commented: “There has been a real passion for these phones since they launched. The phantom black HTC Legend and brilliant white Desire cap a quality mobile experience with an exclusive and premium finish.”

He also said something about customers expressing themselves, through fashion or their phone, and something else about a strong portfolio and a variety of choice, but the marketing speak was in danger of sedating us so we had to swiftly close the press release.

Oh, both new finishes will be available in Europe this month, we did catch that much.
