O2 will be offering the Samsung Galaxy Tab, with the slate having sprung up on the coming soon section of the operator’s website.
The tablet will be available from the launch day of November 1st, and although pricing and tariffs haven’t yet been announced, it can only be a matter of a few days before they are.
Steve Alder, O2 General Manager Devices, commented: “The Samsung Galaxy Tab, striking the ideal balance of portable size and power, is leading the way in a new category of devices.”
“At O2 we love offering customers a range of experiences and the Tab, bringing together Samsung and Android technology, will let customers access their content in a whole new way.”
The 7 inch tablet is powered by Android 2.2, and comes with twin cameras, one front and one back, along with full support for Flash when web browsing.
Both 3 and Vodafone have already announced they will be carrying the slate, and other major operators are expected to, as well. Sim-free, the Galaxy Tab has been priced at £530 by the likes of Carphone Warehouse and Amazon.
