HTC means Business with new division

Darren Allan

HTC is launching a new business division to help companies get the most out of its range of mobile phones.

The idea is to help business users decide on which smartphone might be for their staff, even going as far as offering loan schemes for HTC handsets. A website has been set up, with HTC touting its latest Android and Windows Phone 7 models for business use.

The HTC Business arm will also provide dedicated technical support for enterprise users, and a training team to ensure staff aren’t afraid of their shiny new HTC mobile.

And the company is promising details such as personalisation, too. On the HTC Business website, the firm notes: “With all of our phones, the emphasis is on letting you personalise things. Do things your way. Like creating customised profiles & homescreens on our Android phones, or having your devices pre-configured with custom applications, security and email.”

“Not only that, but we can also customise the handsets with additional hardware, like impact resistant cases, extended batteries and car upgrade kits. Why? Because we think that if we’re all different our phones should be too.”
