Cloud Controls Matrix (CCM) Version 1.1 released

Cloud Security Alliance has released version 1.1 of the Cloud Controls Matrix (CCM). Version 1.1 was put together with significantly greater industry collaboration, by over 60 people worldwide in the last two months, which includes more thorough mapping around NIST and GAAP, as part of more holistic guidance.

SecPoint offers software as VMware images

SecPoint has made its flagship products available virtually as VMware images, doing away with the requirement for dedicated hardware. Livewire Mobile acquires FoneStarz Media Group

Livewire Mobile, Inc. has acquired FoneStarz Media Group Limited, adding to its portfolio FonStarz’s mobile digital storefront, which is currently used as a mobile content supplier with a number of telecom and media brands. The combination of the two companies creates a mobile content provider with a broad content-offering that includes application distribution, ringback, full-track music, video, advertising, ringtones, images and games. Livewire now increases its reach to 400 million subscribers at over 40 mobile operators in nearly 30 countries.

Hotmail introduces interactive email using Active Views

Synchronica provides messaging for Russia

Synchronica plc,an international provider of next-generation mobile messaging services, has added to its success in the fast-growing CIS region by receiving a purchase order for deployment of its carrier-grade IMPS mobile instant messaging infrastructure software with the Russian subsidiary of a pan-European mobile operator group. This is the first purchase order that Synchronica has secured in concert with its new global reseller partner Acision.
The operator is part of a pan-European mobile operator group which owns GSM licenses across 37 Russian regions and covers an addressable population of approximately 61 million

Myriad Group extends partnership with Telefónica

Myriad Group AG – already an significant player in mobile technology, having shipped over 3.7 billion software applications on more than 2.2 billion phones, today announced a new deal to extend the existing partnership with Telefónica to provide mobile social networking services to Telefónica’s Vivo brand. The agreement reinforces Myriad’s 5-year partnership with Telefónica announced earlier this year, and increases Myriad’s addressable market from 80 million to 140 million subscribers across Latin America. The deal involves marketing Myriad’s Xumii social networking tools under the Vivo brand.

Pixel Power Broadcast Video Expo 2011 preview

Pixel Power, a leader in the broadcast graphics field, not last with BBC, Discovery, ESPN, HBO, ITV, Sky, VIASAT and WDR, will exhibit a range of its recently introduced technologies at BVE 2011.
