Some big news has broke on the iPad 2 front, with the device apparently being spotted at the launch of Rupert Murdoch’s The Daily e-paper on Wednesday.
So Reuters reports, stating that a prototype iPad was spotted by an eyewitness source at the event. The source noted that it was a working device, and had a front-facing camera.
The iPad 2 is actually expected to have twin cameras, as does the Galaxy Tab, one front for video chatting, and speculation is that there’ll be a 3 megapixel snapper on the back.
But there’s another juicier iPad 2 rumour which has popped up alongside this one, namely that we’ll know exactly what’s in Apple’s tablet sequel by the end of next week.
According to an article on T3, Apple will unveil the iPad 2 at the close of an event to launch iOS 4.3. The new slate will be the “oh, and just one more thing” bit at the end which Apple likes to indulge in…
The iPad 2 is expected to be on sale come April, a year on from the launch of the original tablet.
