Shift 2 Unleashed moves back a week

If you were expecting to be playing Shift 2 Unleashed a week before the end of March, you’ll have to wait a little longer.

According to the latest press release, EA’s upcoming racer is now expected to launch on March 31st, a week later than previously announced.

The developer, Slightly Mad Studios, has also revealed that the game will play host to the flash new supercar, the Pagani Huayra, which can do over 230mph.

The car is actually named after the Andean God of wind. Not the wind of God, although that 700HP engine does sound pretty darn raspy.

Horacio Pagani, founder of Pagani Automobili S.p.A, commented: “For the past seven years, the designing of the Huayra has been a labour of love and I’m ecstatic to be working with the entire Need for Speed team to help share our creation with the world.”

“I’m amazed by how accurately they have been able to capture the look and, most importantly, the feel of the Huayra. Shift 2 Unleashed will give enthusiasts all over the world the opportunity to get behind the wheel of the Huayra.”

And prang it without worrying about a million quid insurance claim.

Shift 2 is coming out on Xbox, PS3 and PC, at the end of March.
