Crysis 2 is the new number one in the UK all-format video game chart, as compiled by Chart Track.
It represents EA’s biggest selling launch of the year, with the majority of the sales, 57%, coming on the Xbox. The PS3 secured a 29% share, and the PC version 14%.
Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars came in at number two, pushing last week’s number one, Homefront, down to number three.
Then came the Nintendo 3DS launch titles, headed up by Super Street Fighter IV 3D at number four, and Pilotwings Resort at number six.
Pokemon White and Black were at numbers five and seven respectively. The Sims Medieval managed to enter the top ten at number eight (PC/Mac only), with another 3DS title, Rayman 3D, coming in at number nine. FIFA 11 clung on at number ten.
Eleven of the sixteen 3DS launch games were new entries in the top forty, so it seems sales were spread fairly evenly across the range.
