The world’s first mobile watch is soon to hit our stores.

The VEA Sportive watch is, according to its’ manufacturers, ‘set to revolutionise the training watch’.

Featuring more than just the basic feature of the mobile phone, not only can you listen to your favourite tunes via the MP3 player, stored on a healthy 8GB.

The tiny 1.5inch touch-screen displays what you would usually expect from a training watch, such as pulse-rate, altitude, times etc as well as a variety of workout information and importantly you would think for a watch, the time.

An important feature added following feedback from testers is the SOS button; this emergency feature sends your location and other vital information to a contact of your choice should you experience any trouble on the run.

The watch also features a camera and Bluetooth connectivity so you can snap and share on the move – no need now to take a variety of gadgets with you on your jog, the only thing missing from this device is a credit card holder.

The device starts shipping on July 14th at the rather steep introductory price of €399, set to rise to €499 in September, so if this is the type of gadget that appeals to the fitness freak in you, get yours early.
