FIFA Street has gone straight in at the top of the UK all-format game chart this week, according to Chart Track.
EA’s football game is evidently doing well off the back of the massive success of FIFA 12, which is still well entrenched in the top ten, at number four in fact.
FIFA Street easily outsold the other games in the street soccer series, although the reboot is the first title to be released in the franchise in four years (since FIFA Street 3).
In fact, this week EA holds the top four positions in the game chart, a feat the publisher hasn’t accomplished since 2003 (with FIFA 2004, Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, Medal of Honor: Rising Sun and Need for Speed: Underground).
As well as FIFA Street and FIFA 12, Mass Effect 3 is at number two, followed by EA’s other sporty title, SSX. It’s also the third number one in a row for EA.
Following that clutch of titles, Mario Party 9 is a non-mover at number five, with Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games following.
Number seven sees Rage return to the top ten, making its way back up from number twenty, we’d assume due to some sort of promotional price cut.
Zumba Fitness is next, then Assassin’s Creed: Revelations at number nine, and finally Modern Warfare 3 just holds on inside the top ten.
There was another new entry for the PS3 reboot Twisted Metal, although it only managed number twelve.
