There’s a new number one in the UK all-format game chart, with Kinect Star Wars ending FIFA Street’s three week run at the top.
Kinect Star Wars is the first Kinect game to hit the number one spot, and being a peripheral-limited single format release, that’s a pretty impressive achievement. Still, pretty much everyone who bought a Kinect has been waiting for this title, so perhaps its performance isn’t so surprising.
It’s the first Star Wars game to reach number one in quite some time, too, with the last title being back in 2008 – Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.
FIFA Street continues to sell solidly, and was actually very slightly up on last week, meaning it only fell to number two. EA had the rest of the top five, as well, with Mass Effect 3 at number three, then FIFA 12 and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13.
Modern Warfare 3 found itself up again to number six, followed by another EA Sports title which has done well, SSX.
Mario & Sonic London 2012 Olympic Games was at number eight, then Battlefield 3 came after, with Skyrim popping back into the top ten at number ten.
Devil May Cry HD Collection debuted at number eighteen, and several titles climbed back into the top forty off the back of Easter price promotions. Those included Street Fighter X Tekken, WWE 12 and Sonic Generations, all of which re-entered in the early twenties.
