Google has announced that it has made its Offers app available on the iPhone over in the States.
In other words, iPhone users can now benefit from the service which boasts various deals from a number of partners Google has signed up to the scheme. The offers can be redeemed instantly using your Apple smartphone, with no need to print any vouchers, or other faffing about.
The company notes that the Google Offers app for iPhone includes a number of features, such as a map view which lets you quickly and visually see deals which are nearby. Or alternatively, you can search through the library of various deals by category, and find your bargain that way.
It’s also possible to save offers under the My Offers category, for quick access, and previously used offers are also stored here.
Google further enthuses that when new deals pop up, you can be automatically notified so you never miss out – and the app can also warn you if a deal you were interested in, and had saved, is about to expire.
The app is available on iTunes now, and can be used to get hold of bargains in the following US cities: Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Boston, Brooklyn, Charlotte, Chicago, Columbus, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Fort Worth, Houston, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Miami, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, NYC, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Portland, Oakland/East Bay, Oklahoma City, Omaha, Orlando, Sacramento, Salt Lake City, San Antonio, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose, Seattle, St. Paul, St. Louis, Tampa and Washington DC.
We assume that eventually, Google Offers will make its way across to the UK, but probably not for some time yet.
