A Game of Dwarves: Ale DLC pre-order

Paradox Interactive has announced that its “dwarf management” game, A Game of Dwarves, has opened up for pre-orders.

If they order now, bearded-stunty-lovers out there can get a bonus Ale Pack DLC, which introduces beer trees as you can see in this YouTube video. Hmm… beer trees…

Game of Dwarves offers a 13 level campaign, and a custom world sandbox mode for just building and seeing what happens.

It all looks very Minecraft, and the idea is to dig out and build your Dwarven fortress, research and strengthen the clan, all in order to withstand assaults from the various monsters of the depths.

Level generation is randomised to keep players on their toes, and the deeper you dig, the shinier the treasures to be found – and of course, the deadlier the beasts to be encountered.
