It seems that Google will indeed be launching a 32GB version of its budget Android slate, the Nexus 7.
This rumour started floating around at the beginning of the week, and now, according to Teckcomesfirst.com, Argos has indeed confirmed the existence of the tablet by including it in the retailer’s Xmas gift guide.
The 32GB Nexus 7 has double the storage of the 16GB model, which was previously the top end slate (the other being an 8GB affair). And the really good news is that it has been priced at £199.99, only a quid more than the 16GB model.
Which, as we previously noted, presumably means that the 16GB model is being phased out, as we can’t see who’d buy it now.
It’s also rumoured that, aside from new Nexus phones, Google will be unveiling another tablet in the near future – a super-budget model which will be even cheaper than the £129 Kindle Fire, with the price expected to pitch below £100.
