Call of Duty: Black Ops II is still number one in the UK, making it three weeks in a row, with the Wii U version which came out along with the console helping to strengthen sales numbers.
Black Ops II held off a challenge from the much anticipated Far Cry 3, which came in at number two as the ninth biggest launch of 2012 (perhaps a bit of a disappointing result for the Far Cry folks).
FIFA 13 stayed at number three, and will doubtless be selling strongly up until Christmas – sales went up a fifth this week, again helped by the new Wii U version of the footy game.
Hitman Absolution (which actually outgunned Far Cry 3 in terms of debut week sales, last week) slipped from number two to four, and was followed by Assassin’s Creed III.
Just Dance 4 found itself at number six, followed by Lego: The Lord of the Rings, and then Halo 4 which slid three places this week.
Skylanders Giants was at number nine, and the final member of the top ten was Need For Speed Most Wanted.
As for the Wii U-only titles which came out, Nintendo Land just missed out on the top ten, entering the chart at number eleven.
New Super Mario Bros U wasn’t far behind at fourteen, with Zombi U at number seventeen. In total, ten Wii U games made the top forty.
According to Chart Track, the firm which provides this sales data, when it came to the Wii U hardware, the Premium 32GB Nintendo Land pack was the best-selling version of Nintendo’s new console, accounting for 60 per cent of sales.
The Zombi U Premium bundle made up 30 per cent, and the basic Wii U only snagged 10 per cent of sales.
