Skyrim Dragonborn out on X360

But not for PS3 and PC players, sadly

Dragonborn, Bethesda’s latest expansion for Skyrim, will be out today – but only on the Xbox platform.

The bad news for PS3 and PC adventurers is that the DLC won’t be out on their platforms until next year. Bethesda promises it will be “early” next year, but that could mean a few months of waiting yet.

Xbox owners will be able to enjoy it in a matter of hours, though, which will only add to the bad feeling on other formats no doubt.

Bethesda announced the launch details on its blog, where the company stated: “The support from Skyrim fans over the last year has been amazing, and it’s driven us to support Skyrim more than any game we’ve ever released – including free content updates, modding tools like the Creation Kit and the Skyrim Workshop, and our add-ons, Dawnguard and Hearthfire.”

The latter two were the previous pieces of DLC for Skyrim, and both appeared on the Xbox first, and then the PC – with them still to hit the PS3 due to technical issues. Presumably all the DLC releases will be arriving on the PS3 early in 2013 along with Dragonborn.
