Google’s popular Nexus 4 smartphone went back on sale last night, but sadly sold out pretty much straight away – again.
Yes, when the handset first went on sale last month, it was less than an hour before both the 8GB model and the 16GB variant sold out.
Given the price of £239 and £279 respectively, that isn’t surprising, what with the tech spec being impressive to say the least (a 4.7 inch 1280 x 768 screen, quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU, an 8-megapixel main camera, NFC and plenty of other goodies).
So only the quick and clued-up got in second time around, with the handset selling out again in a matter of hours.
On the Google Play Store, the 8GB model is now simply listed as unavailable, but at least there’s some hope with the 16GB flavour – currently you can pre-order it, with shipping listed as 5 to 6 weeks.
So mid-January is probably the best you can hope for if you order a 16GB Nexus 4 now. Still, even that pre-order option may disappear soon enough… it certainly seems like Google has a winner on its hands.
Either that, or it’s simply struggling to get much stock to the UK.
