Namco Bandai has secured the first number one spot of February in the all-format UK chart, with its role-playing effort, Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II had managed to muscle its way back to number one last week, but found itself pushed down to number three. FIFA 13 continued to hold at number two, still selling well, and if it’s anything like FIFA 12, it will be a permanent fixture in the top ten throughout the spring and summer.

Far Cry 3 is at number four, with the next new entry after Ni No Kuni coming in at five, namely the Hitman: HD Trilogy.

Assassin’s Creed III scooped a 15 per cent increase in sales, but fell to number six, followed by Need for Speed Most Wanted, and then Just Dance 4.

The top ten was rounded off by Hitman Absolution and Skyrim, which just edged DMC out to number eleven, only outselling it by less than 50 copies!
