Crysis 3 has gone straight in at number one in the UK all-format chart, with last week’s chart topper, Aliens: Colonial Marines, falling well out of favour and slipping to number five.

Crysis 3 only just pit the number two game, another new entry from Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, to the top spot by 5,500 copies according to Chart Track! And it was the PC version of Crysis that swung the balance…

Neither of those games, though, could match the debut weeks of Dead Space 3 or Aliens: Colonial Marines.

FIFA 13 is still selling well and stayed at number three, with Black Ops II also static at number four. As we’ve already mentioned, Aliens: Colonial Marines slid to number five with its sales being down 84 per cent, no less.

Dead Space 3 was also a big faller, down from number two to number six, followed by Far Cry 3 at number seven.

The top ten was rounded off by Need for Speed Most Wanted, Assassin’s Creed III and finally Hitman Absolution.

Just Dance 4 finally slipped down to number eleven, after many weeks of residence in the top ten.
