Crysis 3 stays at number one

But not for much longer...

Crysis 3 is still the best-selling video game in the UK, according to Chart Track’s all-format chart.

The shooter saw sales drop by over 40 per cent, but with no new entries hitting the top ten this week, it stayed at number one.

FIFA 13 actually moved up to number two this week, knocking Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance down to number three (after its sales fell by 60 per cent).

Black Ops II found itself stationary at number four, ahead of Far Cry 3 (which moved up two places).

Need for Speed Most Wanted also moved up the chart to number six, ahead of the much maligned Aliens: Colonial Marines. Dead Space 3 dropped to number eight.

Both numbers nine and ten were non-movers, Assassin’s Creed III and Hitman Absolution respectively.

In other words, it was a very quiet week for the video game industry. Next week’s chart, though, will feature Tomb Raider (which is out tomorrow), so Crysis 3 is only going to get to spend two weeks at the top.
