
When I described the Ultimate Mobile Device, I always imagined something that the user would wear on the wrist.
I guess a big part is that in science fiction TV and film, people would often use communicators set up on their arms.
Well, it looks like some manufacturers are indeed looking beyond the device itself as separate from the user and a part of them.
For example, MobileWhack reports on a glove being developed by researchers at Engineered Fibre Structures.
The company is a research and development arm of Machester University, and have set up a glove that fits snugly around the user’s hand, but can generate currents which can be used to control devices.
Think that’s smart? Just wait until they add holographic menus to one. :)
