They all say scrambled channel, i have done deep scan 4 times with the cable direct in and no joy. Looks like the begining of the end.

I've still got the odd channels, i have Living but Living +1 is Scrambled, i have 2 Discovery Channels, Discovery Channel and Discovery Real Time. But all the rest are scrambled including Discovery +1.

I lost all the MTV Channels last weekend, and now i've been losing more channels last night and today. I was watching the channel CBS Reality earlier today and i just tried it now and it's scrambled.

Also got 5 new channels today that wern't there before.

Oh well looks like Manchester and Lancashire areas will be down soon, it was a good ride while it lasted, i only got the E Box about a year & half ago, but it was a good year & half of free TV.

Hopefully they will hack N3, but i won't be holding my breath as it's been unhackable for 3 years or maybe longer?

There’s not going to be an N3 hack anytime soon that’s for sure, but there are other alternatives that are going to be as good , but not quite as cheap as the old Eurovox, I’m looking to the satellite CS Card Sharing scene, think there will be a big move to this method as the CS on cable is limited and riskier than with a dish?

c/s is c/s ... Either way it's risky.. wether its cable or sat

They both need internet access and the boxes need to connected to the router.

ISP's can still see which packets sent and received.

Only difference is that

Cable c/s is free... in terms of you buy a box and pay for the box... which is a One off fee and you get all Sly UK channels

if you planned to do with Sky then this depends... The bigger the dish the more channels.. or alternatively you can use your exsisting sly dish and receive the 28.2 channels which is SLY UK channels.

Sat side requires for you to first obtain a server... and secondly then pay a sub to the person who is running that server / maintaining.

or

you could obtain a local card from the network provider.. i.e Sky or Sky italia and split the cost between friends and family.. However you will still be required to pay a subscription for that local card.

Yes I agree C/S is risky…… However having been an EV box user for the last 3½ years and the fact it’s coming to an end (12 months in the making) it’s time to look at alternatives. The thing for me is where as with cable box’s you pays yer money and takes your chance…. You could effectively end up with a lot of expensive useless boxes, whereas with the particular satellite box I’m looking at, has a lot more configurability about it and I have the opportunity to pick and choose the C/S servers. Yes…it’s not for free, but considerably less in the long run.

Hi All,

I know the Eurovox is over which is sad. I have a Virgin Media connection and this is what I was using my Eurovox with.

I am really going to miss Sky Sports, Attheraces and RacingUK aswell as Film and Comedy Central.

Can anyone suggest any easy alternatives and what price?

I know you may say scan the forum but to a novice its too much and a push in the right direction is most certainly required.

There are one or two alternatives, either you opt for a one of the cable C/S (Card Share) boxes A780 Kryptview, (£140.00-£175.00) I’ve had no dealings with these boxes yet, but a pal has stated he might want to try one as he just wants plug and play capability, the thing being it’s a one trick pony….. pay for a box and hope it lasts, could be a month, six month, one year or a week? For me and a few mates I’m talking them into C/S with satellite boxes… I’ll be the Guinea pig, over the next few weeks, just ordered a basic DM500S clone off fleeBay, £75.00 when I get my head around this cheapo box I’ll then buy a genuine HD box (£350.00-£600.00)

Whatever there are alternatives, with a slight cost at nowhere near the full price of Rup’s…… it’s turmoil at the mo, but in the next few months people will be opting for one or the other, and new C/S cable boxes will become available.
