Default ProgDVB and Internet

My areas curently in the move to N3 will the option thats open to ethernet boxes be avalible to us

There's no technical reason why it cant work for dvb-c. Its just a matter of having the correct information for the card to allow the pairing to take place.

To some point, its going to heavily depend on what your subbed box is. If its one of the newer generation (2110, pvr etc) then you can pretty much forget it as extraction of data from these boxes is nigh on impossible without expensive equipment (well beyond most hobbyists). Some of the older boxes or boxes with jtag then you have a much better chance.

Highest chance is for people who's cards have something called a DT08 tier (mostly older boxes again) as it appears there are now people around who can convert this data into a pairing code (dont ask me who but i've seen evidence it can be done and, looking at N2 card dumps, I can see its relatively easy given certain other information is known).

I'm sure once someone gets it all worked out and starts offering shares to dreamboxes and the like then dvb-c cards will be covered as well. Generally they use the same sharing protocols as dreamboxes.
