I'm a newbie with this stuff, but here it goes:

Received my Eurovox EX1000 SL today and fitted it with the latest firmware update.

My standard freeview channels work fine, however I get a scrambled image along with crackling noise when I opt to view alternative channels, i.e. movies, sky sports etc. As well as this, I also get either of the following messages displayed:

"No or bad signal"
"Please wait, codes being updated.."

These messages only show on a few channels.

Had a look about and tried the method posted on the original post of this thread whereby you add/subtract 0.5 Mghz. Made no improvement to the quality of viewing of the channels and they kept producing scrambled images.

We have three Eurovox (all different models, including mine) connected via a splitter from NTL and mine is the only one with this imaging problem.

The box works completley fine in next doors house - who also has three boxes connected via a splitter.

I am completley stumped, any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Unbelievable, as soon as I posted that it worked.

Solution:

Swapped my cable port in the connection of the splitter with my sister's connection.

Simple as!

I have 2 eurovox's and they are constantly pixalating and going to "NO SIGNAL". I have tried altering the frequency slightly and still no good. It appears to rectify itself around 9.30 - 10.00p.m and is ok until morning when it goes off again. I use a signal booster but still does not work properly. PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN. P.S. I live in the south Bolton area if anybody locally is having the same problem.

Hello all, I still not fixed this problem 4 months later!! Tried variable attenuator 0-20 db, ntl fixed 0-10 db, new scart, new splitters.
So today I gave in, sent the eurovox upstairs to hardly used 15-20 year old portable only to find every chanel works perfectly. So now I think theres something wrong with the cable downstairs so I bring the portable downstairs connect the eurovox back up and it still works perfectly?
Why does the Eurovox not like the Hitachi 50" plasma? Spoke with the guy who I bought it off and he didn't help much? Any one got any ideas apart from new telly?!!
