noticed that if my signal stays above the 80% mark ,thats when the problems start.a variable attenuator with a range between 1-20bd will allow you to adjust the signal strength on different frequencies, which in my case as been a godsend.just wait for eurovox to produce firmware to allow you to adjust your signal strength in the menu!

Hi, went to B&Q and they only sell F-socket variable attenuators. Do I need to buy a separate kit to convert to coax? Please note I have no tv aerial input. Thanks.

when you connected the cable to your box,you had to screw a rf conector on the cable itself,to make it fit in the box.with a rf attenuator from b&q which is for a tv,all you need to do is put the cable in 1 side of the attenuator then push the attenuator onto the rf in on the cable box .no extra wires are needed.hope this helps.

Am I correct in thinking that you put the cable into the rf in rather than put the normal tv aerial in there???

Your cable feed should be connected to the RF IN socket either on its own or via a signal booster or via an attenuator whichever suits your signal best.

good evening.
go to the channel thats breaking up, press the info button twice and note the frequency.(eg 522.000mhz).
go to menu, instalation, user instalation, enter pin.
you will now see a list of frequencies.
scroll down to the frequency that you noted before. (eg 522.000mhz).
press green button. ch edit.
press blue button. modify.
useing the numbers on the remote add 0.5 mhz to the frequency. (eg 522.000mhz becomes 522.500mhz.)
press ok.
it will say please wait to save data.
press exit.
if the picture is now stable, all is well.
if the picture is better but still glitches go back and add another 0.5mhz.
if the picture is worse go back and subtract 1mhz.
hope that helps.
sossybaby.

My addition is that when you add or subtract the 0.5 Mhz look at how quick the quality bar comes back. The quicker it comes back, the better the signal meaning no breakup, and also less time for the channel to come on when flicking up or down.

All in all making the box function better.

Enjoy

Flashman.
Thanks for the info seems to be working.
