Default eurovox 2007

hi all,
great forum, im new to this so i hope someone can give me some help,im located in ireland and have just bought eurovox 2007 and i'm having some problems, i've loaded the software and done the power scan and i've got 64 channels, my mate has the eurovox 2006 and has 130 channels, i thought it might have something to do with my cable connection so i tried setting it up in his house but still it only finds 64 channels,,on my user installation menu i only have 6 channels listed from 291mhz to 371mhz where my mates box has 13 channels from 291mhz to395mhz, also on my mates box if you look in the factory default list he has a list of about 10 areas ie.birmingham/london/ect..all thats on my list is symbolrate(6952) and (6887)

hope someone can shed some light on this,

thanks,,

hook your mates box up to the pc and upload his CDF (channel definition file) to your pc using the bottom half of the dnupman proggie. then hook up your box and download it back to yours. that way your box will have an identical channel set up to his. or powerscan your box on 6887 symbol rate.

Eddie

AFAIK the channel list file for the blue and red boxes are not compatible.
I also seem to have the same problem with the 2007 boxes in ireland.Seems like the power scan is missing some frequencies and not picking up all the channels.
looking into it at the moment. If i come across any fixes I will post.

according to my supplier he says that the 2007 boxes have a different tuner to the 2006 box and its only a problem in ireland, he says that the only fix is to use the 2006 box in ireland to pick up all the channels,,

Could also be a signal strength issue, try removing all splitters etc and try again.

I could have the solution to your problem. The earlier 2007 box's with the older bin file will only pick up a few freq's most of them are 1mhz out.

You can do either one of the below:

1) Update software to version 15_03_07.

2) Manually input the freq's and then do an auto scan - the freq are:

SYMBOL RATE 6887

FREQ 291, 299, 307, 315, 323, 341, 349, 357, 365, 373, 381, 389 & 395 Mhz

You will notice that they are OK up to 323mhz but then go 1mhz out after that, these are your missing stations.
