Default Thinking of buying DVB Dream

Is It worth it or is there something cheaper/free that is better and will do the same job.

The software i got with card is quite rubbish and i have tried alot and they have all failed, altdvb, dvb portal, my theatre, tv scheduler Pro, total media and dvb viewer.

I am currenty using progdvb and i have tried the trial version of dvb dream abd both work and i ahve heard progdvb is unstable so im not sure about that one.

Thanks in advance for any help

Very strange that so many programs have failed for you. To me, that would start to ring alarm bells that there is something not quite right about your setup.

The card you have uses standard BDA type drivers which are basically a Microsoft standard. Any program capable of working with BDA should work with your card. Certainly, I know Mytheatre works fine with your card type on other PC's. I'd be inclined to try the card in different pci slots as that tends to allocate the interrupts differently. Try to make sure the dvb card does not use the same interrupt as anything else that requires a lot of data movement (ie, a pci graphics card on the same interrupt as a dvb card isn't a good idea).

As for buying DVB dream then if it does what you want it to do in a stable way then its as good as any other solution so probably worth the price. Its usually worth purchasing this kind of software just to make sure you get a virus free copy (nearly all "cracked" versions are infected or manipulated in some way, regardless of what virus detectors say)

Yeah they didn't work in one way or another, i cant put it in any other slot i only have 2 pci slots and on pci express which house the graphics card and people who make motherboards need to put the slots in different places as my graphics card has a fan and cover the first pci slot.

I now what you mean you mean about the cracked versions they all have viruses they pricks that put all the viruses in the programs and keygens need to be shot.

Ill decide over the next couple of days and see if ill buy it or stick with progdvb for the moment and see what happens in next few weeks with software
