iphone3gs 4.0.2 jailbreak anyone?

just been given an iphone 3gs running the latest update (4.0.2) not jailbroken and i have to get that done to enjoy the phone to its fullest.
before i trawl the net has anyone got a jailbreak solution for this?
ive tried the itunes restore to an older firmware but it wouldnt work regardless of what i did. so im open to suggestions!
oh and i have a windows pc and not a mac!

Step 1: Start iTunes and backup everything from Contacts, Calendars, Photos, Videos and Apps.

Step 2: Update your iPod touch 3G and iPod touch 2G MC model on the latest iOS 4.0 firmware with iTunes. Download links for the firmware and iTunes 9.2.1 can be found below.

Step 3: Once you are done with the update, make sure you are connected to a WiFi network.

Step 4: Open Safari on your iPod touch and navigate to http://jailbreakme.com.

Step 5: “Slide to Jailbreak” to begin the jailbreak process.

Step 6: Wait till the jailbreak tool download the required files..

Step 7: Once the download is completed, it will automatically start the jailbreak process. Just don’t do anything silly at this point. Wait till the jailbreak process is completed.

Step 8: Once done, you will be greeted with the following message.

Step 9: Close the browser and look for Cydia. You should now have it on your phone!

I'm always up to date, i have my rss feeds go stright to my iphone so i can keep up to date with whats going on

Root : 818MB - OpenSSH, Open SSL, SbSetting, BlackSn0w.
After restore, connect wifi , go to cydia and update Blacksn0w.

hey guys thanks for the help...

but and there is a but, jailbreakme wont have none of it, says my version is too new. i tried this before it was mentioned on here also saw the modmyi and same thing there, this version (4.0.2) just seems too new!

ive tried reverting my iphone back to an older firmware but itunes wont have any of that...

ill keep trying but thanks for the suggestions so far, anyone got anything else they can suggest im open to anything!

i know it wont be long before a decent jailbreak for this firmware will pop up but just thought as its so new someone might have an idea.

just a note i may have cracked it.
doing a restore thu itunes that i managed to force from a back up of my other iphone.
with any luck itll lower the firmware and i can then jailbreak it!

ill report back if it works.. or doesnt as the case may be..

its pi ss easy

you download redsn0w_win_0.9.5b5-5 and then use a 4.0 firmware back up

takes about 5 mins to do, i have done 5 on 3g 8gb`s iphones and did the above as per google

ill try your method but as i said originally,, mines a 3gs ! and that makes a difference.

nope once again didnt work on my 3gs

good suggestions are needed now!

and can i just make it plain to everyone before they leave a message

ITS A 3GS MODEL ! ITUNES DOESNT WANT TO UPDATE IT WITH AN OLD FIRMWARE AND THE DOWNLOADABLE ONES DONT WANT TO WORK ANYWAY !

lol ill have to wait for a new jailbreak coming soon hopefully.

hey i know ill buy a jailbroke iphone and sell this one ,, or the other way round.
