I know VM are changing the system to give a 10:1 DS/US ratio for the actual network but not sure if this is actually going to propogate down to actual customers anythime soon. If they do up customers speed, then I'd imagine the most you can expect would be a doubling - so 20Meg going up to maybe 1.5Mbit/sec and 50Meg going to maybe 3Mbit/sec.

Still, I hope your info's right !

There's a lot of testing in various areas with all kinds of strange speeds vbut testing isn't really a good indication of actual customer available packages. I myself have seen a 25meg/2.5Meg test package run locally to me for a few months but never materialise for customers (it was nearly two years ago since that trial ended).

Until VM actually make official anouncements then, unfortunately, its all speculation. All we can do is live in hope !

btw, lots of VM staff also have strange speeds assigned to them that are not available to customers. These are often justified as package testing but in reality are basically just staff perks !

100mbit is going to start its rollout across the country at the end of or latter part of this year.

That has been announced publically if you look.

My upload speed has already been upgraded, it's about 4MB up on the 50mb package for me.
