Yep i know all about N3 and i've been expecting it since last November, and it was a good ride while it lasted.

What i would like to know is, how will you know if N1 as been switched off in your area?

Atm i have lost every channel apart from.

BBC 1,2,3 & 4

Channel 4 & Channel 4+1

Five,FiveUSA+1, Fiver+1

Itv1, Itv2+1,Itv3+1,Itv4+1

Cbeebies,CBBC Channel

Dave

And that's all i have left, 16 Channels. But people say you will only have BBC 1, BBC 2, Itv1, Channel4 and Channel 5 left after N3.

I have much less than you get with freeview though.
[No Virgin1 / E4 / E4+1 / More4 / More4 +1 / Sky News / Sky Three / Itv2 / Itv3 / Itv4 / CITV / Fiver / FiveUSA / Dave ja vu / 4music / Viva / Film 4 / Qvc / Bid Tv / History Channel / Yesterday]
These channels are now all scrambled.

So can i expect to lose some more Channels, or have i already lost everything that i am going to lose?

What i would like to know is, how will you know if N1 as been switched off in your area?

On linux boxes like dreambox, itgate etc etc you can check the stream info.. 1800 aka N1 and 1841 aka n3. closed source boxes like Starview and so on you cant check the kind of info. However there is ways of telling:

1) you channels have gone... which means when you re scan they still fail to dcrypt. That means that your channels which have failed to dcrypt are now on the 1841 stream. And the ones that are working are on 1800 stream. Alot of peeps are saying that there box is coming up with a message '' insert Smart card'' And i think this is hapening on the Eurovox boxes.

2) if you paying the minimum subscription then you will have received a new smart card... they rooling this cards out because of the stream change (1841)

Also as you mentioned above that your channels are saying ''scrambled'' and am sure you probably tried to re scan the box multiple times and hoping that they would come back. From that its pretty much obvious that the channels which are saying '' Scrambled'' have now changed the stream.

So can i expect to lose some more Channels, or have i already lost everything that i am going to lose?

Yes you will lose all the channels.

I got my new card about 3 wks ago,(N.London) 2 days ago lost a few channels, lost a few more yesterday.
As has been said 'It was a good ride'

BBC 1 , BBC 2, ITV 1, CH 4, CH 5,BBC 3, BBC 4,ITV 2+1, CH 4+1, SYFY+1, ITV 3+1, ITV 4+1, BBC news, BBC parliament, CNBC, CBBC, C beebies, Price drop tv, 1,2,3,4,5 audio discription and regional channels, radio stations, they are the channels left open on my V+, i have been N3 for quite a while.

To add to this subject by Eagles..is there a way to re-flash the eurovox in order to re-set it to its factory state in order to use it as a freeview box?
IE: using it through your roof ariel and not VM coaxial

Or is it a case of nice doorstopper??

Could anyone with the technical knowledge please enlighten us out there
