Dvb dream had just recently started sticking when im watching programs, when its sticking there is a kind of screeching noise and i get loads of multi coloured squares.
Anyone else have problems with this or know what the problem might be. Twinstar S350, phenom II x4, 3gb Ram, Nvidia Geforce 8600GT Thanks in advance |

Usually down to a signal problem (remember, non of the PC dvb-c cards are actually meant for UK use where the average signal level is lower than would be normal on the continent) or possibly a configuration problem (multiple devices using same interrupt or DMA channel etc).
I suspect your signal may be a little low on certain transponders. What signal level are you getting ? If its less than about 75% then its low. Quality should really be up in the 90% range. The sticking/screeching is baiscally Mpeg decoder failure. |

It sounds a bit like your hard drive or something else is using the same interrupt/dma as the dvb card. Or perhaps your processor just isn't up to multiple other tasks whilst also processing Mpeg decompression. |

i am happy to announce that it looks like the format and clean install worked i am watching just now and no reports of interference and i am moving data between hard drives and everything is ok, so i think the pc just needed a bit of a clean i should have done when i installed card.
Thanks for the help |
