ambit 256 spi chip

hi im new to cable modding so any help would be greatly received. i have got a ambit 256 and i bought a pre flashed spi chip off ebay to replace the original one.
and i now need to know how to set it up or could some one plz show me a link to a tutorial that shows how to change the chip and set up my modem

you is dare'n mate i bought the spi programmer and a test clip to do mine LOL

if you replace the chip etc and all goes well.

type in 192.168.100.1 in internet browser

if it comes up with a page showing (Haxorware rev 38 or 39) you have done it and well done.

all you need to change is the BPI setting and set it to 1.0 or 1.1 where you will find this and its called baseline Privacy so look on the right hand side for that mate the after you have set it click on (save)

then all you goto do is pop a working mac in and you will find where you need to go at (addresses) and make sure you you goto and only change the HFC MAC don't fiddle with anything else then hit (save and reboot)

if the mac sits nice LOL click on Overview and if you look at the bottom or the page you will see BYTES and the way to see if you are online is if you get a 416 or a 428.

if you hit a 1172 you will need you pop in another mac and so on
