I know that if i have a chimney breast i can drill straight through it,to hide all the wires.
If this isnt possible are the av senders any good and is there any that support the HD signal or is it a case of carving out space in the plaster and using filler to cover the wires ? Bit of a pain in the arse really. if i have to leave trailing wires. its ok carving out but if i ever updrade sound system etc etc this means i need to remove wires ffs |

Dont fit a TV above a working fire , the heat will affect the lifespan of the TV.
Can you chase the wall out and install some plastic trunking into the wall then plaster over, that way you can add or remove cables at will? Luckily our fireplace is disused so we blocked the chimney to stop any soot falling down, then fitted slatted shelves that can be adjusted as required. We fitted the TV, DVD, Stereo and Satellite in the space! |
