Default no usb

I reformated my hard drive,now my computer don't see my USB ports,why?, How to fix ?.Using windows xp.

Again, you need to install usb device drivers. You would find these on the cd your motherboard came with.

you need to have service pack 2 installed for the usb2 ports to work properly

Quite the opposite actually. SP2 seems to ruin 2.0 usb ports for a lot of users. I would suggest looking at the maker of the chipset for the usb, VIA etc and getting an up to date driver to overwrite MS's included generic one.
