how to connect sky dish and hotbird dish to dreambox 500

im a newmbie to this satelite stuff however im willing to learn. this may sound abit complicated!

ihave a dreambox with sky dish connected to it in my room. i have a technomate reciever with hotbird dish connected to it in the living room.

i would like to know how i can get another connection from the hotbird dish and join it with Sky to recienve sky and hotbird in my room and have the hotbird connectionas it is in the living room

you cant unless you put another LNB on the hotbird or the sky dish. there is no other way that I know off But am sure a sat expert will confirm this.

Fit a twin LNB to the hotbird dish, run a new cable and fit a diseqc switch.

If the hotbird dish and sky dish are in the similar loaction, fit a twin LNB to the hotbird dish, fit an external diseqc switch, and use the existing cable into the house that goes to the dreambox.

A sat engineer once told me that a sky dish is big enough to receive hotbird channels, is that true robbo?

A sky zone1 dish is good for 28e, 13e, most of 19e and 42e, plus a few others, but only 1 at once, they are too small to be practical as a multisat dish.

Yes, the signals from Hotbird are very strong, a zone 1 minidish is fine.
