Hello,
My first post!

I am familiar with the A780 and have had experience running it. Am now hoping to upgrade to the dw800. Two questions;

1) does it receive all the standard hd channels (sly sports and movies hd)?

2) Is the set up the same:
Via a cable connection
Connected to a server via Ethernet/LAN
Firmware updates
Scan for channels

No, this box is not supported for N3.

So if and when n3 kicks in in my area, the dw800 will no longer work? Are there any hd boxes, preferably cable, that are n3 protected? But the a780 will work regardless? Sorry for all the questions. Many thanks

starview hd combo is hd and running on c/s to get around nagra3.

........but I personally wouldn't touch a Starview.
