Is it a Belkin wireless adapter cradle that she's lost?
Can you post the make/model of the router, usually printed on the base of the router.

hi,

I think, it's best think for router problem perform a Power Reset by unplugging the power to both your router and PC and while having the power unplugged for 30 Seconds, Leave. power plug try to connect to the network again. thanks.

You've already got one thread open, on this subject, and you still haven't provided the model details of the router.

It's now beginning to sound like she has lost a USB wireless adapter, that allows her PC to communicate with the wireless router.

I shall combine the two threads.

Please try to provide more details.
