sb5101 mod - flashing power light

Hello,

Got a sb5101 with sb5101mod on it and the power light is flashing, cant get online with it but in the config page it's telling me it's all fine....friend of mine says it's a firmware problem, any one any ideas please on how to get it back up and running?

thank you , i did try the search and all i got was "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms. "

and that was looking for "sb5100 mod flashing light"

So you think it's just the mac that needs changing? i didn't know that the power light flashed when it was a mac problem on the sb5100 mod, after all it does tell me that it's all "ranged" and the send/receive light is on etc

thanks will try the working mac that i have from my sb5100 haxor on the sb5100 mod sb and report back with results.....

ok lets get this straight sb5100 = bcm3348 chip which will have 5100mod

sb5101 = bcm 3349 chip which will have haxo firmware on it.

theres no way u have got a current version of haxorware on ur sb5100. so please post correctly about wot modems running wot, as you will just baffle other new members.

it might be a case where u got one of each but someone has shoved it back into a sb5100 case or the other way around.

anyways take danielle advise and change ur mac that ur problem. if all other lights are on solid and the power is flashing then its the mac, if it is just the power light flashing and no other lights are on, and u cant get into the web gui then it will need a reflash

yeah sorry about that, simple mistake but your right don't want to confuse the n00bs with what firmware goes on what modem as they'll just end up bricking them.

So to get it right i am talking about a sb5100 with the sb5100 mod on it and the other modem that i'm going to use the mac from is a sb5101 with haxor on it.....

it's defo just the power light flashing so as i say will test the night and report back.

p.s could a mod or an admin edit the title for me?

i got ambit 256 my send light keeps flashing i cannot connect to the internet does anyone know what the problem is
