Default Kryptview A780 upgrade

I currently have one of the older cable boxes an im thinking of gettin A780 due to losing sports channels, with this boxes do i have to pay some sort of Subscription, an how long would this box approx last for.

hi mate

I will cut you some slack seeing as you joined today but your first post should have been an introduction and then the questions.

looks like you have done some reading on what boxes are available to buy for the work around on cable.

There is no subscription as the server is already embedded into the firmware and no montly fee due to the fact that the server is FREE.

Which means you just have to buy the box and then flash it with the latest firmware and plug it in and scan.

I dont have the box so I dont know what the menu system is like and what the necessary steps are needed in scanning etc etc.

Thanks for the reply, the thing that is currently stopping me from buying this box is the possiblity of the box switch off in a short amount of time does anyone actually know how long these boxes will approx last for and if the box does go off will there be some sort of work around i.e SW update.
