Eurovox max blue box - stuck on standby

Hi,

My box is stuck on standby, I have connected it to my pc but the box does not connect to the computer. (my second box does and I can download software)

Can anyone help me reset the box or erase the memory board.

Years ago people use to freeze car stereos to erase memories so they could enter new passwords. Any tricks like this ?

H mate' have you tried the little button switch inside on the mainboard (check my earlier post on this)

turn the power off ,plug in the leads ,run software and when it comes up with download press it you may have to choose the comport it then says waiting for communication ,this is when you power on your box and the software should start downloading to the box and it will install the sofware,i have just repaired a box succesfully this way and it works the reason for your problem is that their is no software installed on the box

Are both of your box blues? Are they genuines or clones?

It could be a blown capacitor - see here Dead Eurovox

If the boxes are both genuine blues then try this Copy 1 box to another
