Default Kryptview A780

Hi All

So now that all my channels are gone I was considering my options and felt I could use some advice.

I'm thinking of either buying the Kryptview A780 or waiting for the HD equipted model to come out or alternatively getting the Starview HD combo.

Anyway what I'm wanting to know is, if I have a 10MB broadband connection and a 300MBps wireless router, is there any point in me buying a Gb homeplug such as the ones made by Belkin (Belkin F5D4076UK Powerline HD 1Gbps Gigabit Homeplug Network Kit - Computing at Play.com (UK)#) or should I settle for a lower spec one?

Also, is 10MB from Virgin too slow an internet connection or should I upgrade to 20MB if I'm to use Kryptview?

And finally is it worth waiting for the Kryptview HD or should I just go for the Starview HD combo?

Have you considered carefully whether a Virgin Media BB connection will secure your anonymity in these risky times?

It's a risk I'm willing to take, how will they know what I'm doing with my BB connection. Eitherway is a 10Mb connection to slow? Also any advice with regards to my other questions?

the data downloaded from the internet is very little so any type of connection will work.
if the box is near the router then you can just use a cable to connect.
if your box is in another room or a long way off then you can connect using a wi fi bridge or home plug

Homeplug seems like the easier optoin but if I only have a 10MB bb connection and 200Mb router is there any advantage in buying a 1gb homeplug?

Also, while I remeber, is it true Starview only lasts a year?! If so I think I'll go for either Kryptview A780 or wait for the HD format to come out. Any advice much appreciated.

I know very little about home plugs so not sure what is best for you,
but it is only a means of giving you a wireless connection to your router so I would say if you are only using it for the kryptview then as long as its capable of giving you a good connection then get the cheapest available.

I think the SV is for only a year
if it was me I would go for Kryptview

Having looked at other sites Kryptview seems like the better option. I think'll wait for now and get the HD version just incase Kryptview stops working as well.

I wouldn't risk CS if I was you mate. Everyone had Eurovoxes etc because they cut talkback. On the other hand, CS doesn't. I would think about it veruy carefully.
You must consider if you desperately need all the channels to watch on your TV? I watch the football and Tennis etc on MyP2P.eu :: Free Live Sports on your PC, Live Football, MLB, NBA, NHL and more.... All you need is an internet connection. I recently got offered a good package for BB, TV and phone. I've got 10mb, weekend calls and line rental, and free HD box and install with XL TV packahe for £40 a week. You get ESPN etc in HD and it's amazing. 40 pounds isn't too bad, and it's legit as well, so you need worry about illegal TV in your home.
Sorry if you feel I'm ranting about it, but just consider all your options first as well as the consequences. Hope anything I have said has helped.

there is no talk back on dodgy boxes and they have now been around how long, for ever and a day and they will never go away!!.. while there are people willing to take a chance.
