starview data update stuck

have a starview box that won't update.
scans ok and finds channels but when I change the key emu to on and press exit the info bar comes up with "data is being updated" but it just sits there on 0%.I have reset to factory settiings and reloaded firmware several times.

Anyone any ideas ?

dont want to burst your bubble as they say but iv'e heard there was some cable boxes out there from china that are copies that will result in similar circumstances to yours.just check first with your supplyer if he knows the origins of said boxes,i can imagine that that sh** will hit the fan shortly if rumors are true..hopefully though it's something else and curable,good luck.

Cheers got it sorted
Basically I turned the power to the box off and when I powered it back up (about 24hrs later) it updated first time.

i still cant get it to update after reprogramming it and everything
