anyones sb4100 still working?

have done.........

it locks on i even get the orangle online flashing light, but still the dreaded activation page.. ive even tryed a couple of m8s macs from a few miles away..but still no..

ive read that you need to reset adapter with smac and also change the serial, any tips fnr3master??

also has any1 taken a tsop dump (e.g from a working 255 and) and flash it to another same style modem....... if so have they had much sucess

I tried about 200 macs before giving up and getting a subbed box a few months back. Didn't know about Virgin Media cable modem (temporary) blacklisting stuff so thanks for that.

I have the 'hackware' firmware on my sb4100 and im pretty sure its the 2meg dump although it was h4cked for me.

I will try and fire up the sb4100 and go through the 200 macs again and let you know my results.

Quick questions:

Q1. Is it imperitive to clone the modem configs from a legit modem to stay on at the moment using a sb5100?
Q2. Is it ok to sniff (using dhcp sniff) with my subbed modem WITHOUT changing my network card mac using smac?
Q3.Is it safe to sniff for about a week or longer on a subbed connection?
Q4. Can someone send me the appropriate 5100mod dump as previously mentioned by fnr3master?
Q5. Anyone know of any good, trusted sellers of sb5100 at the moment?

I realise this thread is nearly a month old but felt like contributing to it to try and help keep it alive for a while!
